EXTREME KAYAKING

This gang of daredevils are probably not going to go over the edge in their kayaks, which would inevitably end in a swift, and watery death. However, I’m not questioning their cojones given that they have kayaked near the edge of a 120m drop to get there.

GLOBARS - MITCHELL SILVA

Boston-based industrial designer Mitchell Silva, himself an avid cyclist and former bike messenger, came up with this lighting system, guaranteed to turn heads at night.

By cutting a section out of the handlebar itself, and inserting 40 high intensity, super efficient LEDs, SIlva created an embedded (and un-stealable) lighting system that was guaranteed to make the night cyclist far more visible, and all powered off just a watch battery!

Unfortunately, the modifications to the handlebars significantly compromised their structural integrity, sending Silva back to the drawing board to find a solution that retained the handlebars strength… Watch this space!
